So I saw The Fountain for a second time, this time on opening day. Amazing movie! I am still trying to wrap my brain around what Aronofsky is doing in that film. When (if?) On of my favorite shows has (finally) been recognized by the Emmys! Although the series and star Kiefer Sutherland have been nominated just about every year the show has been on, they had been snubbed until tonight! Congrats to them! Oh, how I want their new CD to come out! It is available in England already, and you can get an imported copy on Amazon, but I don't feel like paying over $20 for an album that will eventually be released here. Apparently Toy Story 3 IS still being made after all, but has switched BACK to Pixar for production. Not that I am entirely opposed to a third TS, but I would rather it happen organically, if Pixar really came up with a great concept for a third go-round on their own. But it sounds like Pixar will just be picking up where Disney left off. Not a great idea in my opinion, but what can I do?

Smart cars are pretty cool. Though they do make a car that seats four, they are known for their "fortwo" models, which, logically, seat only two people. It is official: Disney now OWNS Pixar. I was happy with the their old distribution deal myself, which kept Disney out of the creative process of Pixar's movies. After all, Disney hasn't made a good animated flick on their own since...well, The Lion King??
