Listen to the doctors!! Christina Aguilera was advised to give her voice a six week rest after straining it. Her amazing pipes were scheduled to tour with Chingy this summer, but had to bow out. Would I love to see X-tina live? Yes! Would I rather she keep her voice healthy to make more albums? YES!!Full article

On the Ameican Idol front, here are some articles on Clay, Simon, and an interview with this weeks loser.

A few months ago I played (OK, was addicted to) an online game where the player was an abominable snowman that had to bat an airborn penguin as far as possible. I found out that there are now two sequels to that game, with another one set to debut tomorrow. Check out Yeti Sports to play.

ANOTHER article about the travesty that was this week's American Idol.
This is an interesting article concerning injustices on American Idol.

My plans for the week have suddenly changed! I have two more full weeks of school, followed by finals week, however, last night I found out that my logic final is a week from tomorrow! This is in order to give the professor time to grade all of them and turn the grades in. It actually works out well for me because once I am done with logic I can focus all of my energy on finishing (read: STARTing) my government paper.

Some interesting news about the upcoming Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy movie, as well as some tech news relating to the future, or lack thereof, of online multimedia content pioneer Real Player.

Been lazy in the blog department lately, so I though I would try to write something today...

Today in my American National Government class we finished the movie "Wag the Dog." Good movie. Though the movie's premise is unlikely to ever happen, it does bring to mind the upcoming election and make me wonder how far political candidates might actually be willing to go to gain power.

Since I am not feeling inspired today, and because I haven't done a birthday in a while, I would like to wish Mandy Moore a happy 20th birthday and Haley Joel Osment a happy sweet sixteen (may he no longer see dead people!).

Amazon.com has finally made it easier to organize your wish list! You can now rank each item on your wish list by priority (e.g. “must have”, “like to have,” or “I’m thinking about it”), and make comments about them as well. Since I tend to load my wishlist up with stuff, I am glad they finally made it easier to show what I want most and least!

Today will see the continued transition of this blog from “American Idol only blog” to “Harry Potter only blog.” Well, that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but I do have more interesting HP news! Though the third movie adaptation doesn’t come out until this June, there is already news coming in about the fourth! Apparently, “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” will be directed by Mike Newell who most recently directed Julia Roberts in “Mona Lisa Smile,” and has previously done “Four Weddings and a Funeral” as well as a couple of episodes of the “Young Indiana Jones” television series. In addition, Harry’s only living relatives, the Dursleys, have been cut from the script to make room for other more important story elements from the 700 plus page book. Apparently the actors who portrayed the Dursley family were surprised and upset at their exclusion, even unsuccessfully trying to get series author J.K. Rowling to work in some sort of cameo.

In non-Harry Potter related news, Camile Velasco was given the boot last night on American Idol.

It's been to long since I have blogged. I really need to change the sidebar...I have seen movies on both the small and big screens, yet they are not reflected next door.

Speaking of movies I have seen, I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night. It was brlliant. The best movie of the year (of course I have only seen two...); another excellent outing for Charlie Kaufman. Go see it!

On the home front (DVD movies that is!) the Special Edition of Panic Room is finally out! I will be picking my copy up this week!
