Entertainment news galore!

Apparently Felicty/Alias/Lost genius J.J. Abrams wants Felicity herself (AKA Keri Russell) to co-star with Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 3 (which, in case you live under a rock and weren't aware, Abrams will be directing).

Officially, 24 will be coming back for a 5th day of adventure. It will also wait until January to premiere, allowing it to stay rerun free through May (unfortunately, my other two TV addictions, Alias and Lost, will both be rerun central as they start in the fall). No word yet on a story line, or the time frame in relation to this season. I am holding out for the show to finally turn into 48 (can you say war with China?), but doubt that it will.

It's confirmed that Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez are taking us back to Sin City! Since the first installment of the graphic-novel-turned-movie is my fave flick so far this year, I am psyched they are doing another one!

I read this on Moby's journal and had to share it..

would christ be more offended by evolutionary theory or poverty?
would christ be more offended by evolutionary theory or 225,000 dead iraqii's?

where in the new testament does christ say, 'ignore the poor, but wage absurd legislative battles against proven scientific fact?'
(OK, OK, so he overstates the reliability of evolution, just keep reading...)

does the religious right have a new testament wherein it says, 'lo, those who objectively investigate the natural world shall be run out of town along with witches and j.k rowling.'?

the religious right in america are obsessed with homosexuality, abortion, prayer in schools, and evolution.

where in the new testament, i ask again, did christ mention any of these things?

as ostensible christians, shouldn't the religious right be more concerned with ministering to the poor and going about their lives in a spirit of forgiveness, compassion, love, and non-judgementalism?

i mean, call me crazy, but it does seem as if people who call themselves christians might do better to live lives based on what christ actually said as opposed to getting all worked up over stuff that christ never even mentioned.

Duh! It's sad that this has to be pointed out about Christians (as a whole, obviously).
