J.K. Rowling has announced, via her official website, the title for the forthcoming sixth installment of the bestselling Harry Potter series. Though rumored titles have been popping up, most notably "Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storge," the official title will be "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince." It has not been announced, however, when it will be published. Read more here and here.

This is yet another reason to own an Apple computer!

This makes me angry.

It has been released! Though I still think "I Believe" doesn't quite fit Fantasia, she does well with it; "Summertime" is really the main reason to buy this CD (other than to support Fantasia, of course!). The Gershwin number--that some claim won her the American Idol competition--is fantastic, though nothing will compare to her first live performance of it. I look forward to a full length album from Miss Barrino.

The following was taken from IMDb.com: Steve Jobs Says Apple Computers Will Have No HDTV DVD Recorders. For the first time, Steve Jobs has acknowledged that he is facing a conflict between his position as head of Apple Computer and his position as head of Pixar Animation. In an interview with today's (Monday) Wall Street Journal, Jobs said that he had decided to wear his "Pixar hat" and to urge Hollywood not to release any of its movies on digital hi-definition TV until security software can be integrated into home theaters that sport high-definition recorders. He indicated that, for the time being, Apple computers will not be equipped with such recorders.

Last night saw the debut of the new FOX show The Jury. Similar to Law & Order, the show features a cast of recurring characters, but revolves around one case per episode. The audience sees both the jurors debate and flashbacks to the case in question. Very entertaining, and with each episode being self-contained it is a nice change of pace from 24 (where if you miss an episode you miss a lot). It is a good thing FOX brought this out during the summer, because NBC is actually creating a third spin off of the Law & Order franchise, subtitled Trial by Jury.

According to tobymac.com the former dcTalker has "been hanging out in the studio with partners-in-crime Kevin Max and Michael Tait. Rumor has it Kmax and Tait cut some vocal tracks for the same song." A reunion of sorts? Perhaps, after so long apart, they may be testing the waters for a future group album? Who knows, but in the mean time you can go order Kevin Max's new album at kevinmax.com.

Mel Gibson is just Mr. Controversy lately...

(the following taken from IMDb.com)

Mel Gibson's forthcoming film about Britain's warrior queen Boudicca is guaranteed to cause fury amongst feminists and historians, experts predict. Folklorists believe Gibson - whose controversial The Passion Of The Christ movie sparked uproar among Jewish groups this year - faces widespread criticism in his efforts to bring Boudicca to the big screen, because she remains an enigma to historians. Scholars are also convinced feminists will attack Gibson if he fails to portray Boudicca as the icon they have turned her into. Folklorist Dr Juliette Wood, "Take any figure where there's been emotional investment and you're going to annoy someone. We know so little about her and yet she has been turned into a meta-historical icon."

and...

Mel Gibson reportedly stunned a meeting of home-video retailers in Dana Point, CA last week when he appeared before them to support the Aug. 31 video release of The Passion of the Christ. According to the New York Daily News, which cited two independent sources, when one attendee asked Gibson about the movie, he shouted back, "F-- you! I don't mean f-- you; I mean f-- you in general. I don't have to answer any of these questions anymore. I'm a hell of a lot wealthier than I once was." One of the sources says that those in the audience were astonished, even though it was apparent to some that Gibson was joking.
