Good and Bad News...

Alias has been cancelled. It will finish out the season, but this, its fifth, will be the last. I'm not sure how I feel about this. It's is one my favorite shows, and I am, of course, quite sad to see it go. Personally, I felt like there was still a lot they could have done with the show. Yet, I would also prefer the show to go out strong, and this season has been fantastic! Also, there have been elements this season that would make for a great series ender, for example, Sydney coming full circle: starting out as the betrayed CIA (but not really) agent in the first season, to showing the new girl, whose story is very similar to Sydney's own, the ropes this season. In many ways this does seem the like the ideal time to end the show. I will still miss it, though. Heck, if they release an entire series DVD set for this show like they did for Buffy, Sex and the City or Friends (click to see) I would be the first one in line. (I don't want the seasons individually; they changed the box style part way through, and I am WAY to nit-picky to stand for that!) Here's to a great last season!

More Kevin Max....

Being too busy to order Kevin Max's last release, The Imposter, has one benefit: I can now save on shipping and buy both that CD and his new Christmas CD, Holy Night, together! Click here to listen to some samples from this Christmas album.

The Fountain teaser-trailer is finally here!!!!

After months of waiting--years if you count the delay caused when Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett left the production--the first look at footage from Darren Arnofsky's next cinematic venture is online! (click here)

Despite the fact that there is still no release date for the film, though it has (not surprisingly) officially been pushed back until next year, the comic book adaptation by Arnofksy and Kent Williams is scheduled to hit stores next Wednesday. Though Amazon.com still lists it as coming out on January 1st of next years, Vertigo comics lists it as being released on the 16th, and my local comic book shop checked with their distributor, who concurred. It wouldn't, however, surprise me in the least if it gets pushed back at the last possible second. Though I will probably go ahead and buy it, I won't crack a page until I have seen the cinematic version. Though it is being reported that there are some major differences between the film and graphic novel, I still want to be completely surprised when I finally see the flick.
