Television...

One of the best show on television starts its third season this week. Long time readers of this blog (you know who you are) may think that I am referring to Lost. Though it is one of the best shows on television, and it starts its third season this week, Lost is not the show that I had in mind.

I was thinking of Battlestar Galactica.

Yup, the Sci-Fi Channel's remake of the cheesy 70's show. Best show on television, you ask? It just might be. I am not quite done with the second season yet (how did I live without Netflix for so many years?), so I will probably have to tape the premier this Friday and watch it once I have caught up. But few shows are so worth catching up on!

That said, I am definitely psyched for the new season of Lost! There are so many new questions after last season's incredible finale. Where is this show headed? I can't wait to find out! And, assuming that the producers get their way, we should be halfway through the Lost-ies island adventures, with four season being the ultimate goal. Even Naveen Andrews (Sayid) has said he doesn't think the show should go more than four seasons. Now, personally, I have a hard time imaging that ABC is very thrilled with that idea, but hopefully they will allow the creators to have their way and not drag the show out for too long. Either way, I have a feeling I will be along for the ride.

Now, dear readers, there is one more television-related matter of great urgency: I must insist that you head immediately to iTunes and download the first two episodes of the new show Heroes. (Apparently you can also watch them on NBC.com, but I am not sure how good the quality is.) Heroes is one part Lost and one part comic book. It's like they set out to create the perfect show just for me! (Really, NBC, you shouldn't have! But since you went to the trouble of putting it together with me in mind, I feel the least I can do is watch it!) NBC might finally have what they call "Must See TV"!

Until next time, my internet savy friends, please spend the rest of your week in front of the pretty picture box.
