X-Men 3

The first glimpse of Kelsey Grammer as Beast in X3 has finally surfaced. I have to saw I like how they have envisioned him. He definitely looks like how he should, based on the comics! (Below image drawn by John Cassaday and courtesy of Wikipedia.)

Personally, I still have no idea why Beast wasn't in the first two movies. Beast, AKA Hank McCoy, was one of the original X-Men back in 1963 (though he wasn't originally blue). At least they finally got around to including him. (OK, TECHNICALLY a very human, non-blue Hank McCoy did appear on a TV interview in the background of a bar scene in X-Men 2, but that doesn't count. And who knows how they will reconcile that cameo with this new Beast, especially since he wasn't played by Grammer in X2.) The movie's producers seem to have a penchant for adding a new blue mutant with each new movie. We had Mystique in the first one, Nightcrawler in part two, and now Beast in three. Come to think of it, what's with Marvel comics and creating blue mutants to begin with?!?

Additionally, the rumored title for the next X flick is X3: The Last Stand. And to view the new (incredibly AWESOME) teaser for X3, click here. Check out the official website for even more pics of the ever-expanding cast of mutants.

Alias Cancelled - UPDATE

E! News' Kristin posted an article today giving more in depth reasons for the cancellation of Alias, and why it is actually a GOOD thing. Apparently, the plan was, as rumored, to make Rachel Nichol's character Rachel Gibson the primary character next season, and have, at best, only limited involvement from Jennifer Garner's Sydney Bristow character. That is unacceptable. Don't get me wrong, I think Rachel is awesome, and if they were to spin her storyline off into its own show I would watch it no questions asked, but, as ABC President Steve McPherseon said, Alias really is Jennifer Garner. Basically, I just summarized what Kristin (one of my main sources of Alias news and rumors) said in her article, but if you want her take on the situation (plus a few spoilers) click here.

That said, I, personally, wouldn't mind a Rachel-centric Alias spin-off at all. Alias is addicting, and it would be nice to have something to aid with the withdrawal symptoms once the show is over. Perhaps call the show APO, and involve more Alias characters than just Rachel (Marshall, perhaps?). Wait a sec...that sounds like a great show! Call me J.J.! OK, OK, I know that basically sounds like what they were planning on doing with Alias next season, but, call me nit-picky, I wouldn't accept those changes unless it was a separate show. That said, with Alias' ratings this season, I doubt that there will be any kind off spin off. Plus, there have been NO rumors concerning it. Just conjecture on Kristin and my parts.

Lost AND drunk...

Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros, who respectively play Ana Lucia and Libby on Lost, were both pulled over within 15 minutes of each for driving under the influence. They made bail and have been released, but must appear in court on the 29th of this month. They should plead innocent: "The monster made me do it!" (Source)

Congrats!

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck welcomed their daughter, Violet, to the world just a few short hours ago at 6:26 PM EST. No word yet on when Sydney Bristow will deliver.
