Movies, movies, movies...

Normally I don't do a list of upcoming movies until the summer, but the movie season starts in earnest (at least for me) today!

Opening today is Zodiac, from the director of Se7en, Panic Room and Fight Club. Since director David Finch already redefined the serial killer drama with Se7en, I'm not sure what else he can do with, but I will keep an open mind!

Opening on March 9th is 300, based on the Frank Miller graphic novel. I'm not nearly as excited about this as I would be about Sin City 2, but I still think it could be good. And Sin City 2 doesn't even start filming for several months. When it comes to Frank Miller on the big screen, this will have to tide me over for a while.

On March 23rd TMNT opens. I fell like a little kid again!

April 20th is when Hot Fuzz comes out. I don't expect it to be better than Shaun of the Dead, but, again, I will keep an open mind.

May 4th is Spiderman 3. Need I say more?

May 18th is Shrek the Third. I'm not PSYCHED to see this one, but I'm sure I will be there opening day.

On June 1st the new comedy from the director of The 40 Year Old Virgin comes out: Knocked Up. 40 was surprisingly awesome, so I am looking forward to his next outing.

June 8th is when Ocean's 13 comes out. Let's hope it's better than the last one.

June 29th is Pixar's Rataouille. Frankly, it looks stupid, but I'll see anything Pixar does. They have yet to let me down, so I am just going to believe that whoever was in charge of cutting the trailer for this one just botched it up big time.

The 4th of July welcomes The Transformers to the big screen! Message to Michael Bay: DO NOT SCREW THIS ONE UP!!!

July 13th is the next Harry Potter film. I really don't care about this, but it will be a way of pacifying myself until July 21st when Book 7 of the HP series comes out. Oh, and Daniel Radcliffe has officially signed on to play Harry for the rest of the film series.

August 3rd is The Bourne Ultimatum. Oscar nominated director (for United 93) is back for another outing of Matt Damon as spy Jason Bourne.

I'm sure there will be more than these, but this is a start!
